About
We plan the eating.
You enjoy the trip.
TripFork is an AI-powered food itinerary planner built for travellers who care as much about what they eat as where they go.
Why we built this
Every trip starts with a search tab full of "best restaurants in X" listicles, Reddit threads, and conflicting Google Maps reviews. You end up making last-minute decisions and missing the places that would have made the trip.
TripFork turns a two-sentence description of your trip into a full day-by-day meal itinerary — with real restaurant picks, AI tips, distances, and ordering options — in seconds.
How it works
You describe your trip: destination, how many days, what you like to eat, your budget. TripFork uses Google Gemini to generate a personalised itinerary and maps every restaurant so you can see exactly where you're going and how far it is from where you are.
Once your plan is created you can chat with TripFork AI to swap restaurants, add a day, change your budget, or ask for local tips — the itinerary updates live.
What's under the hood
- Frontend — Next.js 16, Tailwind CSS, React Leaflet
- Backend — Python FastAPI
- AI — Google Gemini (via Google ADK)
- Auth & DB — Supabase
- Mapping — Leaflet + ESRI satellite tiles + OSRM routing
Who made it
TripFork is a side project by Aditya Pachpande, a developer and food enthusiast who got tired of bad trip food decisions.
